Is Noter.ai free?

Yes. Noter.ai is free, open-source software under the MIT license, with no Noter.ai subscription. AI and transcription providers can have separate account requirements, costs and usage limits.

Does everything run offline?

Your notes and recordings are stored locally. AI and transcription use the provider you configure, so cloud connections send the selected text or audio to that provider. Local providers must be configured separately.

Can I record my screen and review it later?

On supported platforms, yes. Save a screen recording with the meeting, then reopen it beside searchable transcripts and linked notes. Linux live capture is unavailable in the current preview; macOS internal audio is not guaranteed.

Can I choose my own AI?

Yes. Connect an eligible ChatGPT account or a supported provider API key. Configure transcription separately, choose a model, and save it. Antigravity remains an experimental, unsupported public third-party connection.

Can I help build it?

Absolutely. Documentation, accessibility, note editing, platform support and meeting reliability are all useful areas to contribute. Visit the project on GitHub or read the contribution guide.
