This website
The website is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages. It has no account forms, advertising trackers or analytics scripts. Documentation search and screenshot controls run in your browser. Demo media and fonts are served with the site.
GitHub operates the hosting infrastructure and may process technical request information under its privacy statement.
The desktop app
Noter.ai stores its profile/database, human-readable notes and meeting recordings on the device where you run it. Back up the profile and library together. Provider credentials and meeting material can be private; keep backups and screenshots appropriately protected.
AI and transcription providers
When you use a cloud AI or transcription connection, the app sends the selected text or audio to that provider. Its own terms, retention rules, account requirements and limits apply. Local file storage does not make a cloud AI request offline.
